I got this info. from Darienn's web page: The musical mastermind behind the rock sound of Power Rangers is Ron Aaron Wasserman (a.k.a. Aaron Waters); who has created some of the best battle sequence instrumentals since the third season of "The Transformers" (produced by Hasbro/Sunbow). He is listed as writer/composer/engineer/musician/producer for all the music heard in Power Rangers as well as for Saban's VR Troopers. Unfortunately, On September 1st, 1995, Wasserman left Saban Entertainment for other projects; primarily due to the fact of porr business practices on the part of Saban Entertainment. Born on September 2nd, 1961, Wasserman started playing the piano when he was three and by five and a half, he had his first published work. It wasn't until 16 years later that he actually started getting into the business successfully. In 1989, Ron was the Keyboard Player for E.G. Daily (Drummer: Matt Sorum [for Guns & Roses], Bassist: Matt Bissonette [for David Lee Roth], and Guitar: Randy Carlie [for Donna Summer]). In 1994, Jon Anderson (of YES) released his solo album's "Deseo" & "The Power of Silence" with Ron as the Co-Producer and Co-Engineer. Ron is also going to be working with Yes on another album. And in 1995, he did the music for the CD-ROM by 7th level entitled "Battle Beast" with Scott Page and Bob Eserin of Pink Floyd. Here's more info. from him: During Spring 1995 I spent a lot of time working on four really cool shots on the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers feature film. Fred Chandler and 20th Century Fox had the Digital Magic film department doing somewhere in the range of 150 shots fo the film.....Luckily...I got off easy with only four......four really tough shots.....With the help of Digital Magic Compositor, Brian Hannable.....3 morphs which utilize 3D CGI, Morphing, 2D Animation and Compositing were developed for ther Rock Guys in the Cave Scene! To do the effects I used Softimage for the 3D and Elastic Reality to do the Morphing. Brian used our Quantel Domino Digital Film Compositor to put them together. The results are quite unique and do an excellent job of distracting the viewer, which is important for this type of morph. In the first morph, I reproduced the shoulder pads in 3D and then animated them coming over the statues body while morphing to the real should plates. This was extremely difficult to do...since all I had to work from were the flat 2D live action B side images and a still A side image of the statue. These images have no Z axis information which is crucial to determining how to rotate the shoulder plates. Here they are in MPEG video format. So....Check em out! MAX: You'll have to go to his web site to check them out. KICKING, BUT.. 'POWER RANGERS' PACKS A HOLLOW PUNCH. KIDS'LL LOVE IT! If kids ran the world, every movie would look like MIGHTY MORPHIN POWER RANGERS: THE MOVIE (Twentieth Century Fox, PG). It's a video brat's action fantasy jackpot: Star Wars meets the Wizard of Oz meets Jason and the Argonauts meets every explosive thriller a kid ever glimpsed on the tube five minutes past bedtime. I wouldn't be surprised, either, if the picture inspired more enthusiasm on the part of its young audience than a prettified lecture like Pocahontas. Disney's earnest fable tries to improve and uplift kids, but Mighty Morphin Power Rangers gives them what they really want: a blast of rowdy kinetic overkill. As played by the same young actors who star in the hugely popular Fox TV series, the heroes, intergalactic teen commandos who speak in gee-whiz clichas, don't quite have personalities. What they have are cheerleader grins, an array of dazzling martial-arts flips, and a general avidness about kicking butt that hasn't been seen since the days of Bruce Lee. The plot is really a breathless collage of high-energy set pieces. The heroes skydive, skateboard, and engage in hand-to-hand combat; they morph into their color-coded Power Ranger alter egos; they fight giant metallic monsters and a villain who smirks like Freddy Kruefer and leaves gobs of purple goo in his wake. Mighty Morphin Power Rangers is an utterly depersonalized thrill machine, yet it's exactly the film's go-go resentlessness that is likely to make boys and girls eat it up.
