TODAY ON POWER RANGERS Saban decides to produce a new children's programming. Lord Zedd decides he can't take the new programs and sends down MMPR kangaroo ripoffs down to earth down to Earth to destroy the Rangers. But, our heroes are ready for him--all except Johnny Yong Bosch who stands under a spotlight, listening to "Motownphilly". Rita decides to send Freakling to destory Johnny as Zordon realizes the only way to save the day is with fun fun and games. Can Zordon save the Rangers before they miss any new MMPR episodes? Can we all learn the words to "Tenga Bye-Bye" and Dulcea's lines before we have to perform? And, can Max cure a cold that Repellitor gave him? NOBODY'S PURFICT GUIDE The NP poll will be "preempted" for awhile because of so many but I still need your Nobody's Purfict for the guide. After that, the poll will continue. ASK MAX ['cause MAX knows all] Q: "Y'know when they shaved bulk and skull's hair? How did they do that? Did they REALLY shave their hair or was it just a wig?" --br550 A: Yes, they actually shaved their hair. They seemed good-spirited about it too. Q: "Why does it seem like the the MMPR Movie never happened? They met the Tengu Warriors in Ninja Quest pt.2 and they said they never met them? What about the 90-minute movie???" --MooTant A: Well, there are many reasons the movie had to be recapped. 1) Some people didn't see the movie. 2) The footage from the movie is different from the show. 3) They don't have Power Suits and the stuff that they had in the movie--how would they explain how it disappeared? 4) They don't have Gabrielle or Paul to be on the show. 5) It would be confusing to act like they had just gotten new power. 6) They always get new powers for the season premiere. This is how they planned on getting it before. 7) The season would be messed up if it had to attempt to be an addition to the movie. They would have to have better sets, special effects, same cast members, same characters, and... SAME SET--it was filmed in Australia whlie MMPR is filmed in CA. YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT Last week's first quote was "Human chain!" It was said by Jason in "High Five" when they were surrounded by the putties and Jason held Kimberly and Zack on his shoulders with their feet sticking out, so when he spun around they would kick the putties. Hosiko466 got this right first, and then c.mikoluff The second quote was "Wach the doo!" and it was said by Kimberly in "Switching Places". When Billy was putting the helmet to his invention over her head, she says, "Watch the doo!" I guess he watched it end up on his head, huh? The 3rd/10th quote was "Spaghetti and meatballs." It's a doosy (Whatever that is). Why don't you watch all the episodes to get it right--and automatically, get 10 points! Today's quotes are: QUOTE 1- "How 'bout a little scrimmage?" [NO, it's not from "Fourth Down and Long"] QUOTE 2- "Oh my gosh!" [Hint: The speaker rubs his/her neck when they say this] QUOTE 10- "Spaghetti and meatballs." TRIVIAL PURSUIT Last week's trivia question was--well, I forgot to put one on. So, there are two this week: 1. Which Ranger has blown up a computer? 2. True or false: Kimberly has a fear of pigs (or any "dirty animals"). SCOREBOARD br550: 1 point c.mikoluff@genie.geis.com: 4 points Herndons: 2 point Hoshiko466: 8 point KibaRanger: 7 points Mesia13: 5 points MooTant: 4 points sbolton@nbnet.nb.ca: 7 points FUN AND GAMES TUBA (NOT:) Tommy, Aisha, Kimberly [Adam] CYCLING (NOT:) Adam, Kimberly, Tommy [Aisha] CHEERLEADING (NOT:) Tommy, Aisha, Adam [Kimberly] PLAY (NOT:) Adam, Aisha, Kimberly [Tommy] Tuba-Adam, Cycling- Aisha, Cheerleading- Kimberlu, Play- Tommy. I had to figure out just like you did and, ironically, Kim was a cheerleader. At least it wasn't Tommy! ;-) Hoshiko466 and the Herndons [Rachel] got this right. The "fun" game still is at work and you need about a week to do it. It's sort of like a treasure hunt and you have to go around looking for the answer through your computer. AND, you get to have partners. But, that will be later on.... Today's game is same oh-same oh: SOLVE THE CODE to learn something neat. Hint: It's as easy as ABC--or 123.: 13/13/16/18 20/8/5 13/15/22/9/5 9/19 3/15/13/9/14/7 15/14 14/15/22/5/13/2/5/18 20/23/5/14/20/25 6/9/18/19/20!!! DID YOU KNOW....? --Amy Jo Johnson recently hosted a preview for a new Saban show called "Tenko and the Guardians of the Magic" and the preview showed magicians and describing the show. It was on a Canadian channel and will probably be on an American one soon. --Amy Jo is left-handed. --Amy Jo has a small butterfly tattoo on her ankle. --I recognize the lady who played Aisha's grandma (On "Stop The Hate Master...") from an episode of "Family Matters". It was an episode where Carl was mad at Hariette for being voted "neighborhood watch leader". At the end, she comes over to the house with a pie for Hariette, because she helped catch a thief who was lingering around her house (By calling the police). Then, Carl appologized to Hariette and they...oops, wrong newsletter! --I saw V.R. Troopers on a Bakersfield station (Probably can be found in your town) and a new season is playing. There are a lot of changes [The show is actually entertaining!!! ;-)] including more special effects, more characters, and less "Where's my daddy?" Since I was home sick for the whole week, I was able to see two new episodes: "Game Over" and "Watered Down". Thanks for Dave Bryan for the first two "Did You Know's?" It said its kid shows will be expanded in 1996 to include Sndays and in 1997 to all seven days. Terms of the deal were not announced. (C) Copyright Critics' Choice and Studio Briefing 1995 OPENING OF MMPTM Thanks to Oshaun for this.... Below is the 'Opening Dialog' from MMPR:TM (from Oshaun's very own audio source): Spoken by Dulcea: "Centuries ago, a legendary interdimensional being, known as Zordon, came to the city of Angel Grove to establish a Command Center for his neverending struggle against evil. With the aid of his trusted assistant, Alpha 5, the noble master sought out six extraordinary teenagers and gave them the power to transform into a super human fighting force. In time of great need, the young heroes could use their powers to call upon colossal assault vehicles, known as Zords. The identity of the six remained a guarded secret. Today that tradition continues...." MUSIC BOX: Tenga Bye Bye With all these new songs, we want to know the lyrics. I asked Ron for Tenga Bye-Bye and he sent it to me.
