Q In which episode do we see young Billy get bitten by a fish? --Lunette339 A "Something Fishy". --and, in the words of Kim, 'at least it wasn't a pirhana.' Q I thought you knew all the titles. Why did you ask for them in the back issue? A The back issue has not been edited at all. It is WAY outdated and I left it like that on purpose. People should not respond to any of the contest stuff because people have already answered that stuff months ago. You can take quizes and answer quotes but they will not go on the Scoreboard. YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT Last week's first quote was "...two left feet." It was Tommy from "Football Season". Tommy had tried to do a simple football warmup but ended up in a martial art's pose. He shook his head in front of Ernie and said, "Aw, man--I feel like I got two left feet." MooTant got this right first, and then Hoshiko466. The second quote was "You can't get rid of us!" It was Zack in "Doomsday Part II". Even though it was not the season finale, Rita Repulsa had almost been defeated and Zordon said that they didn't have to be Rangers anymore if they didn't want to and they all say, "It's more than just the suit--there are more things out there that need to be solved--etc." And, then Zack says, "In other words--you can't get rid of us!" KibaRanger was the only one who got this right. Today's quotes are: QUOTE 1- "Some of us dance our buns off and still have nothin' goin' on." QUOTE 2- "You don't have to tell me twice." QUOTE 10- "Spaghetti and meatballs." Get the last quote right and you get 10 points (First=11). If no one gets it, I will leave this quote hanging until someone gets it right... IMPORTANT: The second one is _NOT_ Aisha in "A Friend In Need Part I". It was said in one of the first two seasons. TRIVIAL PURSUIT Last week's trivia question was: "Who created the Dinozords? a. Rita Repulsa b. Zordon c. Alpha 5 The answer is b. Zordon. I thought it was Rita and then I thought Alpha was in charge of making the zords. Maybe 'cause Zordon sounded too obvious. This gets them 2 points each. Enough points will get them to the 2nd game show, which Ellen and KibaRanger are already automatically coming to. Last week's was the easiest game I think: Ever. The answer was "GO GO POWER RANGER NEWSLETTER". I was going to put an exclamation mark at the end but I didn't want everyone to get it confused with a symbol. ;-) Here is today's: Kimberly Billy Tommy Aisha Adam Rocky Katherine The Rangers are in an important battle. In that battle, two Rangers lose their powers--one of those people was Billy. The other Ranger got her power recharged and she went back in battle. Next, Kimberly tried to take on the monster but the monster destoryed her morpher. Kimberly transfered her remaining power to the Ranger that was powerless and then she left. Next, Adam tried to destory the monster and his power switched with a female Ranger that had just entered the battle. Now, Adam and this Ranger's powers were in the opposite's hands. Adam lost that Ranger's powers and decided to get his original power back and switched the powerless morpher with his own. The Ranger who got Adam's/her powerless morpher left the site. Next, Katherine teamed up with Rocky and combined her powers with him. The monster destroyed the morpher, so both Rocky and Katherine lost their powers. But, one of them got recharged and went back in the battle... Next, Tommy fought the battle and was successful in getting one of the Ranger's powers back, who soon lost his power again and went back to where he was before. After that, the first Ranger to lose her power lost her power again. WHICH RANGERS ARE POWERLESS? This one is hard. I will give you help if you are having trouble...just e-mail me and I'll help you with anything you are having trouble with. I would like everyone to at least try for this one. The next game is going to be a little different and VERY interesting. More in the next issue... DID YOU KNOW...? 1. Isla Fisher will be playing Katherine, the new Pink Ranger on the third season. 2. One of the episodes of the Third Season will be titled "I'm Dreaming Of A White Ranger". You can buy it on video before it premieres on TV, however. In it, Kimberly looks completely different--her hair is really light (almost blonde) and it doesn't looked combed or anything. She looks really different -- and she also kisses Tommy, and she acts really flirtatious. 3. Some of the monsters of the third season include Rito Revolto, Master Vile, Silent Knight, Merrick The Barbaric (Erik), Calcifire, Vampirus, Slotsky, and Steamy Meanie. 4. Becky Herbst (of "Forever Friends") was on Step By Step on an episode called "Can't Buy Me Love". 5. Walter Jones will be appearing in a new show on Nickelodeon this season. It's called Space Cases and is being written by famed comic book/Star Trek scribe Peter David. 6. Lunette339 or one of her sisters (I'm confused) has some rockin' MMPR icons and wants everyone with a Mac to have them. The picture is done by professional food artists and even the picture looks gross! I can't picture the REAL product! :-b I took a trip to TOYS R US and found some weeeiiirrd stuff. I got the fruit drinks there and they taste "Very strange"... I also saw Girls Deluxe Fitness Set. You won't believe it...more in the next issue. Know what? In "Different Drum" when the rangers are almost to the cave Kim tells Melissa to go hide behind a tree or something, and she does so. However, Melissa's back was to Kimberly when she said it. How would Melissa even know that Kim was talking to her? How would the actress even know? I have just received A LOT of Nobody's Purfict. I'm going to run out if I use them all in one issue. CLIFF NOTES by Marx Okman "A FRIEND IN NEED PART I" Written by Shuki Levy & Shell Danielson Directed by Worth Keeter I'm sure that NOBODY missed the 3rd season premiere. I was disappointed...only because of the lack of Juice Bar scenes --those are my fave. ;-) Besides that, the episode was pretty morphinomenal. Read along for MY summary (I did not really pay attention so bare with me--correct my mistakes) It started with some people with gas masks digging on another planet. Above in the sky, something flies by (I think). Next, Alpha is moping in the Command Center and Zordon lectures him about telling his problems. So, Alpha says that he just checked up on the planet that he was created on and it was in danger. He mentioned that the planet was called Edenoi, in the Andromeda System. He also talked about Dregon and his ship the Spiderface. After the commercial break, Aisha is talking to Kim via telephone in the Juice Bar. Kim is sick in bed with the flu. After hanging up, Billy comes in and tells the Rangers that he just talked to Alpha and he sounds sad. So, the Rangers plan to pay him a visit. Alpha tells them about the planet being attacked so the Rangers teleport to it. Next, Lord Zedd is using his red vision in the sky instead of on the Earth and Rita tells him that he's slipping. Zedd says that he is watching the Spiderface because Count Dregon is in space. He hates Dregon but Rita adores him. Anyway, Rita, Zedd, and Goldar continue a hilarious scene which leads to Rita asking for a monster in Finster's laborotory. They plan to send the monster down to Earth...and make Kim battle him sick, I guess. Or, they might have meant send it to Edenoi. Who knows? On Edenoi, the Rangers get fired at by Dregon and learn that the gas mask dudes are trying to get rid of poison in the ground. The gas mask dudes spot the Rangers and think they're enemies. They all battle them, including one who turns into the Masked Rider. The gas mask dudes/Masked Rider seem to be winning for about 5 gruesome minutes (The Rangers try and talk out the fight but the stupid Masked Rider refuses) until the Rangers make them believe that they are friends of Alpha. Next, Dregon fires at them again from the Spiderface. They all run into the cave as Dregon and his henchman discuss the Rangers and decide they must destory them too--so the Rangers do not get Masked Rider's powers before they do. One of the henchman is exactly like Squatt/Baboo and he usually talks in rhyme or says something stupid. It ends with a freeze frame on Dregon as "scary" music plays in the background. Ooh... Actually, this is wrong, I guess but Sbolton@nbnet.nb.ca has written up Part I for those of you who missed it and for those of you who wanted the script (Send her thank you cards) and you can get it from me or her. (I, however, put it in a different form so if you want that version, ask me.) P ROLLYWOOD MMPRWOOD by Marx Okman Hollywood. When someone says that, I think of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. No...it's not just because I think of MMPR all the time...it's because of a recent trip. Are you ready for this....? It was 2:00 PM, August 26th and my mom spontaneously said, "Let's go to Hollywood!" I had planned the trip about 3 months in the past as a joke. When the Rangers put their hands and feet in cement, I said "Mom, can we go to Hollywood?" She sarcastically answered but....well, she decided to go. In the rush, I had no time to get excited....until I saw something mworphinomeeenal-- As my silver Honda made its way through Valencia, I searched drastically for Saban Studios. In the search, I saw something cool. When Lord Zedd throws the Growing Ball, it flies past some mountains. I saw those same mountains in awe. Of course, I was too stupid to take a picture. As the car continued, I pointed out EVERYTHING that could be Saban Studios. I even saw the "Command Center". It looked like it but I'm sure it wasn't the same prop from the show. Anyway....next I passed the Valenica Park (I think that's the name), surprised to see that that was Angel Grove Park. Of course, I was too stupid to take a picture. Finally, I saw the roller coasters from "I, Eye Guy" up ahead--and then my attention was caught. It was a studio--it was white. I could make out the words 'Studio Center' and then I KNEW it was Saban Studios. As I glanced, I could see guards --they looked MEAN. And, it was in the middle of the grass area --which had no road. How would I ever get to it? As we drove out of Valencia, we entered Hollywood. I kind of looked around at all the "weird" stuff as my mom parked the car and I "hopped" out. We parked at the corner of "Hollywood Book and Poster". We soon ventured in and saw millions of movie posters on the walls. My mom and I made our way to the back and sorted through scripts, looking for the MMPR movie one. We searched in vain and finally headed back towards the front. I looked for MMPR merchandise to find the following: MMPR pogs, MMPRTM Behind-the-Scenes book, and....... My mom looked for a MMPRTM movie poster but we didn't see any. I looked one more time and saw a rack with a MMPR poster that I already had: "Ready to Morph Out and Save the World". I went over to it to see on the opposite side there was a giant MMPRTM poster. It wasn't a movie poster--it was....well, it had all of the Rangers on the Phaedos beach (Where the Tengu Warriors attacked) and they're examining something that must have been omitted from the movie. It looks like Rita's bra growing on a rock. ;-) I got really excited and purchased it quickly. Next stop was "Book City" to look for MMPR scripts. On my way in, I saw television scripts--Lois and Clark, Seinfeld, Mad About You, The Simpsons, Friends, Beverly Hills 90210, Melrose Place, XMen, Roseanne...etc. My mom walked up to the counter and asked for a Power Ranger script. The man said, "Oh, I think we have a Power Ranger autograph." He took a folder out of a shelf behind the counter and fished through it. He ended up saying "I must have sold it." Then, he asked a lady who worked there and she said, "I think we have a Power Ranger movie script." He looked and came back with, "No--no script either." We left our name and number and he promised to call us if they got something in--he joked about calling my mom at work and saying, "Marilyn--your Power Ranger stuff is in." On our way out, we bought some Lois and Clark scripts...anyway-- My next stop was to be "Hollywood Scripts". I'm sure they would have the movie script. But, it was on a street called Satsuma Ave. and my mom had no idea where to look...and it was in North Hollywood....so we went around some more until we came to Chinese Mann's Theater. In Chinese's Mann, I looked desperately for the Rangers' footprints, camera in hand. After about 20 minutes of searching, my mom gave up and we went into the souvineer shop. There, a sales lady said "Oh...the Power Rangers were for an auction. They auctioned them off." THAT REALLY MADE ME MAD--who would want their footprints more than me??????? Depressed, I was about to leave when I saw the MMPR film--the kind you put in that little red thing and pull the switch to see the pictures. Viewfinder, I think it's called. As I turned my head, I saw something really morphinomenal! A display of "MMPR pictures". They were "sparkly" and looked like paintings but still looked like pictures (I KNOW that didn't make sense). There were four of them: All of the Rangers standing sideways in a line with their helmets only visible; Lord Zedd; White Ranger kicking; White Ranger. They were $7.50 each and I talked my mom into getting two: the one with all the Rangers helmets in a line sideways and Lord Zedd. Now, I am depressed that I didn't get the White Rangers...so I'm going back... The rest of the night was just cruising around, looking for Satsuma Ave., going to dinner, looking at Nicole Simpson's murder site, etc. We finally got to a pay phone and my mom CALLED "Hollywood Scripts". The recording said they weren't on Satsuma Ave. anymore and that people could only order through phone. So, my mom's going to call soon (Hopefully, she won't put it off for three months like the trip). So, back to home my mom and I headed--passing Saban Studios (and taking pictures), Valencia park (I missed it on the way back) and the Lord Zedd Growing Ball Mountains (too dark to see them). When I got home, I took down a personalized-autographed Full House poster and put up the MMPRTM one. It was unique-- probably only found in Hollywood. And, it was BIG. I didn't even know it was so big....it looked so small in the stores.... anyway--I also forgot to mention that they sold ALL of the MMPR cardboard cutouts (I already had all of them so I wasn't excited --btw, they don't have Green, I believe) and a MMPR magazine (Can be found in Bakersfield but OH WELL--I bought it there!!!) There was probably much more but Hollywood was really...uh, NC17ish, so I didn't want to stay long. ;-) Anyway, I'm planning to go back for the White Ranger pics (And, two more Lois and Clark scripts).
