Anyway, I forgot to mention that Mighty Raw sent me a picture of Kathy, him, and a guitarist. It is used as a promotion for "effie's head". M.R. said that "effie's head" is getting very busy. Kathy and he are starting to pick up college radio stations across the country. He's been working harder than ever at sending stuff out and making new contacts. IF ANYONE KNOWS A MMPR FAN WHO IS NOT ON THE MEMBER LIST, E-MAIL ME ASAP! Well, Evetter127 posted a message on the SciFi MMPR board and it mentioned the new Pink Ranger being a blonde-haired girl with an Australian accent--it sounds like Billy's girlfriend on "A Monster of Global Proportions." But, you never know... last year I was told that the new Ranger would be Scorpina. If Evetter127's info. is wrong, it's her fault! If it is right, I told you so! :) I am a little confused: WHY did Amy Jo leave the show? I don't understand why she would leave to do other projects for Saban--this one is THE ONLY PROJECT EVER! Why would she leave this achieving show to start over? Someone explain this to me: I have heard from MaryMorris that she got a SAG card from doing Suzie Q and because Saban doesn't want to pay more money, he fired her. For more money he could keep Amy Jo and get HIM more money. She was the secret of MMPR's success. To SAVE money, the show will lose viewers and he'll LOSE money! In the SciFi MMPR board, I mentioned Amy Jo on Entertainment Tonight! I'll repeat my description for those who don't know about SciFi.: E! was interviewing the Rangers at the Chinese Graum Theatre. They interviewed everyone except Amy Jo, who was seen in the background. During an interview (They weren't actually interviews--just a couple of words on the movie.) A.J., signing an autograph far off in the background, looked up at the camera and then looked back down at the autograph, frowning. Why didn't she get an interview (A couple words) and why did she look so sad? What is going on???? Well, as you all know, the spotlight is on Kimberly and Amy Jo today--this nl is also dedicated to her! :) Today the spotlight is on Amy Jo Johnson... Well, on a whole 'nother issue, here is the first column of the day... THINGS YOU NEVER KNEW: 20-year-old Jason David Frank loves to "rave about the late, legendary martial artist Bruce Lee, generally regarded as THE karate-film star, who died in 1973. Jason, a black belt, wants to follow in Lee's footsteps. That dream of reaching karate fame on the big screen just might come true for Jason, who has been karate-ing since he was 12. But Jason, wants to do more than just martial-arts movies: Comedies, romances and dramas are welcome. To se Jason all over the big screen--now that would be a kick." David Yost had an earlier job before becoming Billy! Before he started serving justice as a Power Ranger, he was a star-struck waiter at a hotel restaurant in Hollywood serving food to the likes of Whoopi Goldberg, Rod Stewart, and the late River Phoenix. But what this waiter didn't have to wait on too long was an acting career. After coming out to Hollywood from his home state of Iowa, David struggled for a mere two months before successfully auditioning to be a Power Ranger in September 1992. Not surprisingly, he enjoys acting more than serving meals. David still gets intimidated around the stars--but at least now he is one. MOVIE SUMMARY: Okay, I was planning on doing a spoiler in the first issue but now I've decided not to spoil the movie. Here is the brief, concise, and general description of the plot (Some from Hollywood Online, some from me.): The world is under attack. The most evil force ever is attacking Angel Grove and all the good citizens there, and he has a evil plan to conquer the planet. He had incredible powerful armies at his command--as well as lots and lots of slime. His name is Ivan Ooze. And only one Power on Earth can stop him. The Power Rangers have to go to a distant planet (Phaedos) to get the Great Power of Ninjetti. They get the Ninjetti power from a warrior named Dulcea and they get the Great Power after a battle with gargoyles, come to life, which they use to...save the world (in a cool way that I'm not going to say.) Well, there you go. I tried not to make it a spoiler! If anyone wants a better summary, e-mail me! I have 2 of them that are summaries of the movie! The answer to last week's quote ("You can't just go to the store and buy these, you know!") was said by Fang in the episode called "The Yolk's On You!" Fang loves Goony Bird eggs and Baboo and Squatt ate his last batch while he was in battle. He yelled at them, complaining that you can't just go to the store and buy Goony Bird eggs and threatening Baboo and Squatt until Rita promises him more Goony Bird eggs if he will destroy the Power Rangers. I didn't expect anyone to get this quote but I just loved it so much that I had to include it! Here is today's quote (MUCH easier): "Nobody's asked me...and I don't think anyone's going to." THIS IS SOOO EASY! I chose an easy one because most of you haven't seen my favorite episodes (From the other season) with excellent quotes! So, I chose this one! I know most of you have seen this episode and I know that most of you know the answer...so e-mail it! I'm starting to also give quotes to anyone who gets the trivia question right. Remember, 10 points will get you a Power Ranger comic book #1. (This is a BETTER prize!) He thought Adam lost his powers last season (Don't ask me) and that Baboo is the blueberry/warthog. Don't get Squatt and Baboo mixed up!!! It makes everything too confusing! Plus, he accidentally put Yellow Ranger and Bow together! She has the daggers, Dear. :) He is still morphinomenal though (In the Power Range)! BTW, he wanted me to say that there is a real style called Hip Hop Akido (Even though on the show it is Hip Hop Kido) in Brazil. And, that Zordon says "May the POWER protect you!" I know that the FORCE was wrong but I got it from a magazine and, for some stupid reason, decided not to change it! Anyway, Zordon does say "May the POWER protect you!" Not my fault. AmiRee has come up with this idea and with the help of XSENTAIX, RedRng, and me, she will be sending out these magazines (I hope--I'm not 100% sure!) Okay, here's some extra info. scraped from the bottom of the bucket (???)! On the three newest cast members (I am saying that hoping this A.J. thing is just something to do with the Crystal of Nightmares...): Karan has no martial arts training except on the trampoline and mini-tramp (Like me!) and has sung with the band KRUSH on the Mo' Money soundtrack, has done extensive modeling and made TV appearances on Walker, Texas Ranger and Scratch TV!!! Steve is a second degree black belt, has been involved in martial arts since age 12 (Hmm, maybe if I started now...), later taught martial arts in a karate school, became a member of the school varsity cheerleading team, and is a talented artist and has studied drawing throughout school. Johnny went to North Texas University and was going to major in film. He plays soccer a lot and works out with Jason! Speaking of Jason, there is another Jason on the set who is just as talented, especially with his on-the-set buddy: I'm talking about Jason Narvy and Paul Schrier! Paul Schrier II hails from Las Vegas, Nevada, and is a fan of Shakespearean theater. He made his directorial debut this year with a short film and has directed some scenes for the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers TV show. Jason Narvy comes from the Los Angeles area and has performed in such classic plays as Arsenic and Old Lace and Hamlet. He is currently writing a novel about one of his favorite subjects, Doc Holliday and the Old West [He must have liked filming "Wild West Rangers."] [I'm saving more info. for their future spotlight.] Paul Freeman plays Ivan Ooze in the movie. He is an accomplished actor with numerous credits on stage, television and film, both in England and the United States. He has appeared on television shows, including Perry Mason, Cagney and Lacey, and Young Indiana Jones. His film credits include Just Like a Woman, Iron Eagles III, and Raiders of the Lost Ark. [I'll give more info. in HIS future spotlight.] I made a chat room called Power Rangers. We can meet there some time. Just announce the date and time. Send in your IMPORTANT responses: a business-type letter on why A.J. can't leave the show. Free Power Ranger toys? Kind of. Go to McDonalds and get free McDonald toys in the Happy Meal and for $1.59 more, get a Power Ranger/Ninjazord kit. It's cool but it's messed up. The Rangers have their old, old zords on their chest (The dinosaurs; not even the Thunderzords) and the Ninjazords are the same size as the Ranger and there is no cockpit--the Rangers sit in a little seat. But, what can you expect for toys under $2??? They are cool though, if you don't want to spend a fortune on all those overpriced Movie toys. Like the MONEYspender and the GOLD Ranger. Get it, Justin??? :) Does that one song come on where you live before Power Rangers come on?
