View Full Version : Is PR just recycling old PR series

For those that haven't seen the newest Sentai series, which PR will next year be, it's obvious there are some serious PR Turbo and PR WildForce elements combined. It's a blatant recycle job.

Now I understand that in reality they are limited to things. You can only do animals, cars, and such so many times before being forced to re-invent them. But Engine Sentai Go-onger blatantly combines the costumes and zords of both of the above named series. And the stupid suit numbers of SPD. Just not as big.

If you were to create a PR series, how would you try and avoid such blatant merging or repeating of old series. As well as costumes and zords.

Nice examples are PR Zeo, Mystic Force, and Jungle Fury. They all broke from the norm in many ways and featured many new things.

Wait are discussing PR or Sentai here? It's confusing lol.

Series will always take stuff from other series. Some have argued that Gekiranger takes elements from Dairanger and has just reformatted them. It has also seen said that the limitless potential of Geki comes from the Aura Power which is used in Maskman.

Magiranger tends to take some stuff from Fiveman, the whole sibling team fighting those that killed their parents.

Go-Onger takes some elements from CarRanger, Liveman and GaoRanger. But CarRanger initially took some elements from TurboRanger. It's always going to happen lol

Super Sentai has been around for 32 years your going to find repeats its inposible to prevent hence PR is going to have repeats. After all Ninja Storm and Jungle Fury are pretty simular. But they do make a differnce in the story line.

Yeah we'll always see some similarities.
