“POWER RANGERS JUNGLE FURY”
(TOY REVIEW)
6 INCH LINE UP:
SOUND FURY TIGER RANGER
Item #: 30001
http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h240/Bluehero/Picture003.jpghttp://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h240/Bluehero/Picture005.jpg
http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h240/Bluehero/Picture006.jpghttp://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h240/Bluehero/Picture007.jpg
Sound Feature: Tiger roar and a blast sound.
Articulation: Head, shoulders, elbows, wrists, waist, knees, and ankles.
Weapons: Nun chuck and cannon head.
Detailing: Complete!!!
The Sound Fury Tiger Ranger is indeed worth to buy; from its looks to its grand possibilities, you’ll definitely get what you spend on this figure. The best part about this ranger is that unlike the past figures for PR it comes with its main weapon and a few more items that will serve a purpose later on. This figure has no problems when it comes to standing it in any posses you desire. Great for display and fun. Another best part is the shock feature added to the figure doesn’t get annoying and makes a great addition to the ranger. The fun part is listening to the Tiger Ranger roar into battle against Dai Shi. Call to the wild, this brand new six inch power ranger is indeed one figure you or your children, or even collectors out there will NOT be disappointed with. The only thing that isn’t really much a bother is the fact that the figure may be fully detailed from the head to the sole on its feet; however Bandai America didn’t finish outlining the back of the rangers with their really thin white strips. Other than that, it’s very easily to look by. It seems that BA has also removed the major situation of the rangers’ body mass and muscles. This has definitely been an issue for me and many others for so long since…forever. In the end I give this figure 9 out of 10. If you see this figure in your stores or retailers, please do not ignore it. Chances are that you won’t be able to find it again till after the holidays.
SOUND FURY JAGUAR RANGER
Item #: 30002
http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h240/Bluehero/Picture008.jpghttp://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h240/Bluehero/Picture009.jpg
http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h240/Bluehero/Picture010.jpghttp://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h240/Bluehero/Picture011.jpg
Sound Feature: Jaguar growls and punch throwing sounds.
Articulation: Head, shoulders, elbows, wrists, waist, knees, and ankles.
Weapons: Batons and Jaguar cannon head.
Detailing: Complete!!!
Another great addition to the PRJF toy line. The Jaguar Ranger has definitely become a fan favorite. This figure is probably the one of the rarest of the line up since it sells on Ebay more than the Tiger Ranger. Articulation is the same as the Tiger Ranger. The only thing different is that it comes with a jaguar head that you can attach to the cannon for additional play. The batons that it comes with do not combine to form a staff. The sound feature for the figure is alright; the punching sounds can sometimes become an irritation though. However this figure receives 8/10 score for great detailing and great possibility or playability. You won’t be disappointed with the Jaguar Ranger. Well worth every penny it sells for.
JUNGLE FURY CHEETAH RANGER
Item #: 30003
http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h240/Bluehero/Picture012.jpghttp://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h240/Bluehero/Picture014.jpg
http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h240/Bluehero/Picture015.jpghttp://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h240/Bluehero/Picture016.jpg
Sound Feature: None.
Articulation: Head, neck, shoulders, elbows, waist, knees, and ankles.
Weapons: Baton Staff and robot (cannon).
Detailing: Complete!!!
This figure is indeed the RAREST of them all; and it’s not because it’s the female ranger of the line up, NO. This power ranger figure is the most articulated one of the whole series. BA has turned the Cheetah Ranger figure into a special articulated action figure. With the additional neck feature, the ranger can look up, down, left, right, and even sideways. This addition resembles close to a Marvel Legend figure, for no PR figure has yet to have this much articulation. There is a price though to the arm articulation; the figure can not move or turn its wrist. That’s why they added more arm articulation to get it to hold the staff it comes with in two hands instead of one. The skirt on the figure was a grand idea for BA; however it now lacks the playability or possibility for the figure in many positions. You can only split the figures legs so far or risk ripping the plastic skirt in two. The cat robot that it comes with can be TRANSFORMED into a cannon; and the additional weapons that the other rangers come with can be attached for more action when it comes to imagination. The figure’s staff can separate into two batons; but they cannot be used in the same position as the Jaguar Rangers can. However it is actually a bitch to combine them without them falling off or separating again. Plus the figure has no sound features at all…yet again. Thus this figure deserves 8/10 for better articulation and great detailing; but it could had been done a whole lot better if BA would had taken the time. Nice try guys (BA).
SOUND FURY ELEPHANT RANGER
Item #: 30005
http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h240/Bluehero/Picture017.jpghttp://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h240/Bluehero/Picture018.jpg
http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h240/Bluehero/Picture019.jpghttp://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h240/Bluehero/Picture020.jpg
Sound Feature: Elephant call and a weapon sound.
Articulation: Head, shoulders, elbows, wrists, waist, knees, and ankles.
Weapons: Elephant shield.
Detailing: Complete!!!
All thought the Cheetah Ranger review was a bit of a bummer, the Elephant Ranger is surely to bump the line up back to the top. THIS FIGURE IS ALL NEW; AND IS NOT COPYRIGHT. Apparently BA has come to the decision to depart from the Sentai/BJ rivals; and have decided to create three unknown rangers for the PRJF toys. I’m not sure if these new rangers will be added into the series; thought there are rumors. The Elephant Ranger is one of the three. This figure has sound features that are kind of a pain to hear. It sounds like the elephant is in major pain or something. Anyway it’s not all bad. The figure has the same articulation like the Tiger and Jaguar Rangers. The only difference is that this figure only comes with the signature elephant shield; but no other additional weapons, darn. The morphers on the hands of the ranger are way different from the original three. In fact as soon as you pull it from the package, you can tell the difference immediately. The shield can be attached to the cannon for more fun. The detailing looks awesome on this figure. This is probably a good idea considering how Sentai Gekiranger only have five rangers if I counted right. The original six rangers or more is the way it should always be to me. In conclusion this power ranger gets 9/10. Plus the helmet on the figure is just too cool. Nice one BA!!!
JUNGLE FURY EVIL SPACE ALIEN
(((DAI SHI)))
Item #: 30004
http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h240/Bluehero/Picture022.jpghttp://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h240/Bluehero/Picture023.jpg
http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h240/Bluehero/Picture025.jpghttp://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h240/Bluehero/Picture024.jpg
Sound Feature: None.
Articulation: Head, shoulders, elbows, waist, and knees.
Weapons: A sword.
Detailing: Complete!!!
Whose idea was this figure? First of all BA, its name is Dai Shi; NOT EVIL SPACE ALIEN!!! I’ve grown tired of this. Anyway lets get going with this review. This figure is originally from Sentai Gekiranger. Dai Shi is supposed to be the main villain for PRJF; but the figure sucks. I’m not even sure if the sword it comes with is supposed to be Dai Shi’s. So it has a feature that when you push the button on its waist, the lion’s mouth will close…WHOOPIFREAKENDU!!! (Cough) “RIPOFF!!!” This figure definitely lacks the articulation big time. No wrist movement, no feet movement, and of course poorly paint schemes. The detailing is correct; but they just got lazy when it came to completing the paint job. The figure has no sound features…who had to guess? It seems as if the ESAs over the years must have got boring for Bandai; I guess that’s why they only create a few every series/season of PR. Just to freaking label ESA on the packages anymore must mean no appreciation or is just a disgrace to the figure. There’s really not much more to tell about this figure; so instead I’m just going to go ahead and give it the 5/10 scale (Mediocre). BA should be ashamed of themselves for this torture they bring along each and every PR series.
