Ok now that the season is over an I can say I wasted alomst 16 hours of my life that I can never have back I can honestly say this was the worst season of Power Rangers ever. Which does not make any sense to me. They have the same staff as the previous 4 seasons and why not the best season not the worst either. If this is what you call a show for 6-8 year olds you must think them stupid Disney. They had decinet actors and a great base of of Bouken rangers but they ruined it in the production and the writting. They had a story line they just cramed it into the last 5 or 6 episode. They cut out some really cool footage from Bouken and just plain drooped the ball. This has disney written all over it which is stupid cause they have produced quality, but cheesy, shows with no problem. Its like they think kids can only hadle fancy light shows and cheap parlor tricks. They realy should send out a leter of apology to the fans. well to end it all I can say is pinochio meet mack mack meet pinochio your twins.

roguefan, you are wrong about a lot of things in your post:
Disney can't use every footage from Super Sentai because it would be a waste of their time.
If they would use every footage from Super Sentai every year, they could just dub the original Sentai Series and just cut away the violent scenes and moments. But that would be even worse, because than, PR would be just a lame copy of Super Sentai and nobody would want to watch Power Rangers.
However, there is one single fact here. Disney is trying to make Power Rangers a show only for kids. That's why we get the storylines as they are.
I wish PR would be back at its old self as well, but with Disney, that's not going to happen. Ever. Period.
I think Operation Overdrive was one of the best Disney PR seasons so far. Yes, I admit, the storyline is a little lame and pretty much rushed, but it's still a good one. PR is still a good show after all.

Counter point I am not saying they should copy Sentai but if they are going to do it, which they do, then at least use the good stuff. It was not a well laid out series. Lets put it this way Wild Force was a better series. Secondly stories aimed at younger kids does not mean bad writting it just means differnt writting. Thirdly the final two episodes should have been spread out over 4 episodes. Why put the Vala story in just to have her show up, it was fill that they did not need. It would have been an interesting storyline if they used it right. The whole season could have been an interesting story if they would have used it right.

Power Rangers is A KIDS SHOW. And besides, I think that having Vala show up is a great job by Disney. It's a little rushed, I admit that, and I also admit that it wasn't explained how Moltor had captured her in the first place, but it's still great.
You want a storyline? Go watch mexican telenovelas. Those have plenty of storyline.
Even guns are usually used in the last few episodes.
But that doesn't mean it should be the same with Power Rangers. PR is - I repeat - A KIDS SHOW and last time I checked, little kids don't need a storyline, because they just want to have a good free time. I know I didn't need and I didn't care about the storyline in Power Rangers when I was a child whenever I was watching Power Rangers... all I've cared about is the Rangers kicking some evil guy buts and win at the end of any episode.
Unless PR gets bought by another production company, we will get the Disney type or storylines and approx. 32 episodes per season (or even less than 32 episodes).

Being a kids show is not an excuse for poor writting. I generaly find kids shows more entertaining then the junk they throw on prime time because its clean and doesnt and cheesy. I doubt my 5 year old nephew would have liked Overdrive. But hey each is intitaled to their own opinion

I think you're wrong.
Writing maybe poor, but the storyline still has introduction, the main story and a good ending.
That's good enough for kids because they don't care how the storyline is actually made and how good the storyline is made and connected to the PR History. That's why PR new being a kids show is a perfect reason and not just an excuse for all the poor writing and poor work on the show by Disney and its production.

It is a kids show - I don't think anyone is disputing that.
But (and I freaking hate to make a comparison here) Sentai and KR is made for kids also, but it still manages to pull off a pretty awesome storyline which I wouldnt be bothered about a kid watching. My 6 year old cousin loved Boukenger and he actually turned off the PROO dvds i made him because he thought of it as an insult - a freaking 6 year old!
More to the point a series needs a storyline. Forget beginning middle and end - thats not a storyline at all. Thats a recipe for disaster. A real story has twists and turns that may not make sense at first eventually get explained. If PR is supposed to wrap up in a year successfully it should tie up loose ends.
Now I can't comment on PROO as a series cause I only watched to Once a Ranger and never made it a priority to finish the series. But I will as soon as I finish it.

First thing first its rude to tell some one there wrong in an opinion it not a fact its my opinion, I'm not making this an issue just consider it next time. If you liked it great at least some one liked it. Onto the storyline issue. Timeforce great season, could be viewed by all ages and it had a freaken awsome storyline. It used Sentai but made the series its own. Mystic Force Ok so the writing could have used some work but they made their own story arch throughout the whole series and did a half way decient job blending sentai and american story. It can be done disney has done it so honestly I dont know why this season turned out like it did.
I do want to say thanks for you opinion it is nice to see a good discusion going on and a one sided debate is no fun.

It ended, huh?
I watched the opening to the season which I thought was good, but then stopped after the next two episodes cuz they were bad. Then I watched Once a Ranger, which I thought was pretty good but again the following episodes sucked balls so I stopped watching again. Tried picking it up when I was flipping through, I was watching where Tyzonn thought everything was a dream and the Fearcats were attacking the rangers and other villains. For such a cool scene as that sounds it was so boring so I stopped. Haven't watched Toon Disney since.

How can you say it is their worst season ever? I think it was one of the best. But, I think Jungle Fury will be better though. Disney can't please all fans. So, we might as well enjoy Power Rangers while we can.

Well, I have to agree with Roguefan. Operation Overdrive was not just one of the worst, if not the worst PR season ever, it was one of the worst seasons of any show I've ever watched. Most of the actors couldn't act, 85% of them had voices comparable to nails on a chalkboard (Tyzonne, Dax, Ronny, Flurious, Norg, the Fearcats, Moltor, Camdor, Miratrix, etc.), and the scripts were some of the most poorly written and structured scripts we've ever been subjected to through PR.
There was simply no excuse for this series to be as bad as it was. I mean, it was adapted from Boukenger, for crying out loud! How could they possibly take one of the best Sentais to date and turn it into easily the worst PR to date? Let me tell you, that takes some serious skill.
Aside from Once a Ranger, I found no redeeming quality to this series at all. Well, except maybe Spencer, but they pretty much dropped him after the whole Thor deal. I want the time I wasted on this steaming pile of crap back.
All I can say is thank God it's over, and that at least so far Jungle Fury looks to be a lot better.

another reason y this series is soooo bad is because they added alot of gay useless weapons that sucked big time and they didnt even use it alot even tho this is meant for gay merchandising purposes and also may i add miratrix is useless and well...ugly lmao
