LCJ Editions are releasing Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Season One, Part 1 on DVD in March 2007. The set will consist of five DVDs containing the first ten episodes. The downside to this set is that it very likely only available in French language dub. We'll update on this once it has been confirmed.

I think they are finaly starting to listen to the fans though the whold Behind the scenes episode they did, morphicon, and a few other signs makes me think they are paying attention so if this does well in france maybe they will do an english version.

There are quite alot of people who speak and understand French and they should be very happy about this. I do not understand a whole lot but I communicate with some "french-canadians" (i.e. from Montreal, backwards Canada).

because the company making the DVD is making it for the people of France. Theyre not going to do an english dvd for them are they!!!

What I'm saying is I don't get why they're only making one for France and not one for every other language and/or country.

my oppinion is to make it on english and just put a subtiltels on all the other languages:p That way all can watch it on english and if they dont understand , they could just use the Subbs

You're still not understanding what I mean. I'm not saying that the DVD set released in France should have an English version or subtitles. I'm saying they should release the DVD set in other countries too, with those countries languages.
I didn't notice this before, but the first TEN episodes? Five discs? That means that there'll will be two episodes on each disc, which is a complete waste of discs. The box is the same size as other dvd box sets that usually contains five times as many episodes. Why not release the first half of the season on 6 discs with 5 episodes on each one?

Five episodes on a single layer disc is the max. Might even be better to cut it back to four. Now if they use double layer then seven could easily fit. I wouldn't mind seeing a dvd set come out for Germany or Spain or Mexico as those places like PR too.

Even though it's not in English, I am definitely taking this as a positive step forward towards the eventual release of MMPR, PRZ, PRT, etc. season DVDs in the States. At this point, I don't care if it takes years for Disney and such to get their act together. All I know is I want these seasons on DVD!!!

I agree with mmprfan. It would be better if they would produce more episodes, like 15 or maybe even twenty, but whole season is really impossible...I really will never understand the americans... You have 5 or 6 places from where to download HQ episodes, all the rest is easy: you make a cover, burn episodes on DVD, and voilla...

well the reason people would rather buy them than burn them is because the dvd releases are offical and much better quality and again they offical. i mean it would take ages to burn them all on DVD i mean season one has 60 episode's it took me a whole day to download it and burn it... and i shouldnt have bothered cause now i have the german set with the english audio ;)

Has there been any info about a full legit DVD release of the MMPR here in the USA? Im on the verge of buying the german released dvd's, but will hold out if disney gets there heads outta their back ends!
