Knuckles:What are these things?

A Clone Jumps On His Back.

Knuckles:Oh no,you dont!

Knuckles Spins Around In A Tornado-Like Fashion That Destroys the Clone.

Knuckles:How do ya like that?

Several Clones Pop Out of A Manhole

Knuckles:I was afraid you'd say that...

???:Knuckles!

Knuckles:Huh?!

Several Ring Containers Fall From The Sky and Explode.The Clones Are Wiped Out By The Explosion.The Source of The Explosives Is Revealed To Be Tails.

Knuckles:Tails!

Tails:Look out!

A Clone Is Trying To Sneak Behind Knuckles When A Hammer Flies Through The Air and Takes It Out.

Tails:Nice job,amy!

Amy Steps Out From Behind A Building.

Hundreds of Clones Appear.

Knuckles:There's no end to these things!

Tails:We'd better run for it!

Knuckles,Tails and Amy Run Away From The Clones.

Elsewhere....

Shadow and Silver Are Running Through the City Taking Out Clones Along The Way.

Shadow:Chaos spear!

Shadow Destroys A Set of Clones.

Silver:How close are we?

Shadow:It's not much furthur!

Clones Block Silver and Shadow's Path.

Silver:What do we do now?

Shadow:Chaos......

Shadow Collapses From Exhaustion.

Silver:Shadow!He's still weak from his battle with mephiles!

The Clones Rush At Silver.

Silver:Agggghhhh!!!

Suddenly,A Rush of Blue Wind Speeds Through and Destroys All The Clones.

Shadow:He's.....here...

Sonic:What's up,shadow?

More Clones Appear.

Shadow:We....dont...have...time...for...this!!

Shadow Gets up From The Ground.

Shadow:Chaos....

Sonic: Dont strain yourself,shadow.

Shadow:Huh?

Sonic:I brought reinforcements!

The SPD Rangers Appear and Destroy the Clones.

Sonic:Come on!We've got to get to shelter!

Sonic,Silver, Shadow and The SPD Rangers Leave.

Suddenly,The Mysterious Black ooze From Before Continues To Follow them...

Sonic,Silver,Shadow,and the SPD rangers enter a deserted building.

Sonic - What's up,shadow?

Shadow - There's no time for this! Where's the seventh chaos emerald?

Sonic - Beats me,shadow.

Shadow - What?! You dont have it?!

Sonic - What makes you think I did?

Silver - So much for that plan.

Sonic - Plan? What plan? Who are you,anyway?

Silver - The name's silver and we need to get that chaos emerald before that creature can find it.

Sonic - So any ideas where it is?

Shadow - I thought you might have it. However,it appears I was wrong.

Sonic - So what do we do now?

Shadow - We split up and find that chaos emerald.

Commander Cruger - Good idea. Jack,you go with sonic. Omega,you're with silver. Syd,you and Z go together. Sky,you're with bridge.

Jack - What about you,commander?

Commander Cruger - I'll search with shadow. Rangers,move out!

The five teams split up and search for the chaos emerald.

Meanwhile....

Knuckles,Tails,and Amy come across the pile of debris that used to be the SPD base.

Knuckles - It looks like a twister hit this place.

Tails - Yeah. Whatever happened to this place,it was big.

Suddenly,a light begins to glow from under the rubble.

Amy - What's that?

Knuckles digs through the rubble and finds a glowing gem.

Tails - A chaos emerald!

Suddenly,a black glob of ooze leaps from the ground and grabs the chaos emerald from knuckles.

Knuckles - What the....!?

Tails - That black stuff just swallowed the chaos emerald!

Suddenly,the ooze begins to glow. The ooze then forms into a grey form resembling silver.

Amy - Who are you?

Mephiles - I am mephiles the dark and I thank you or finding the chaos emerald for me!

Knuckles - For you?!

Mephiles- Yes. Now I can carve this world into something more enjoyable.

The seven chaos emeralds float above mephiles' head.

Tails - He's got all seven!

Mephiles - Chaos emeralds,I call upon your mystical powers to grant my greatest desire.....total universal domination! But first,rid me of this temporary body and restore my true form!!!

The chaos emeralds begin to glow and spin around mephiles,disassembling his body and reassembling into a black mist. The mist then expands,forming two gigantic arms and legs,a large body,and a head resembling a demon. The skies then darken as mephiles' new body sprouts two large wings and he flies into a storm cloud.

Elsewhere.....

Sonic and jack notice the dark skies.

Sonic - Whoa! What's happening?

Jack - I dont know,but it cant be good!

Elsewhere....

Shadow and cruger also notice the strange blackness in the skies.

Shadow - I sense a great power......it's covering the entire planet.

Commander Cruger- Shadow......I think we're too late.
