Torrent vs. Direct Download?

I would like to ask and see how many people can use torrents and download them? And then for those that can do you perfer them or DD? And for those who can not use torrents which site works best for you, like rapidshare, sendspace or megaupload or others?
Please take the time to answer as I would appreaciate it :)

I prefer direct downloads. At least, I can know when I will get the stuff. With the dissapearence of the transformers in direct downloads from the old forums, I have moved to get them by torrents. It's scary, I can't get one episode and it's weeks I'm on it.

well each side has its pros and cons like most stuff in this world but i say torrent is sometimes better because u get more files and stuff all in one instead of getting them individually and if theres alot of ppl seeding and such it can help u get it faster only drawback is the waiting depending how many eps and stuff is in the folder

Direct download is more convinet but with torrents you can restart the download and you do not have to deal with disapering files.

I prefer direct download because they can be easier to search for and will generally download in one go, whereas torrents can be harder to search for and can be slow to download, especially with few seeders and cannot be downloaded at all if there are no seeders.

Direct download is much much simpler its search, click and wait...for less time. I do prefer Torrents though because you can download in huge batches and if you want you can stop the download half way through and continue it later from where you left off its really helpfull. but if somethieng was going on DD I would use it its so much simpler and takes way less time, Iv been downloading Zoids Genesis since last night! lol

I don't know really, Bittorent has a wider variety and your more likely to be able to find a show or album watever on a bittorent site rather than a direct download, although dd is easier and takes less time, it has less of a selection because it depends what people upload, but with B.T people upload whole series all around the world etc. I hope that made sense

Well I think both are good but from what I understand Bit Torrents are how the music industry tracks down people and sues them even if you are not sharing music. So there are some negatives to it pluss if you dont have enough seeds I understand that slows down the download.

Direct downloading is so much easier than torrents to me. To me, torrents are much more complicated. Plus, I tried using torrents, but it didn't work for my computer. I like using Megaupload and Sendspace.
