What full screen resolution is your computer set at? 800x600, 1024x768, 1152x864, 1280x1024, 1600x1200 or a higher setting? An extra 5MB is not going to make any difference. If you want real high quality than eps encoded around 300-350MB+ is what you are looking for and a matter of fact I am testing through trails the right settings to use for those kinds of files but it is taking me awhile only using a PII-550MHz. This was going to be my big surprise but I reckon I can let the cat out of the bag early. Getting back if full screen doesn't work double size or 200% should be plenty big to watch the 175MB eps. Oh make sure you have the lastest verson of xvid installed.

It looks like my numerous attempts to create 300mb+ eps have failed. The picture skips and is fragmented. I am going to have to wait next year when my new computer is finished, hopefully before the new overdrive season begins in feb. I have not built a comp. from parts in over 8 years and I think the era of P2 is long gone and my new goal is dual core athlon am2 socket with sli 7600gt cards and at least 1024 ram with another card for a tuner input; no more external recorders.

Make sure the frame rate is 29.97(ntsc) and not pal as that will cause some confusion but some eps I converted to dvd look fine on my tv. Only when a fast motion is when I can tell something and different eps have louder sound but all in all not bad for free eps I think.

I think I understand the problem, the 180 MB versions he mentioned were ripped from DVDs and the rest were TV rips by DragonRanger. Unfortunately DragonRanger's resolution was only 480x360 which sucks if you try to upconvert to DVD resolution. I think the DVDrips are a bit higher resolution.
