Haha, good one! There's one thing I've wondered about for ages now: Is it ilegal to download PR via DD? I dont care if it, lol. but just a quesyion i've had in mind.

The answer is YES. Anything copyright in the states is illegal to trade, sell, share and that includes free trade by dd or torrents or copying discs and giving to friends. You are only authorized to make personal copies for yourself in one household. That is why companies pay big bucks to gov. for protection. And yes the gov. knows of all or almost all of these kinds of sites and torrent sites too. They are easy to find by way of google. But the gov has 'more important' stuff to do then break people cause most are children or teens and tv shows are not as high up as say movies that are bootleged from a theatre. Don't be worried by what I am saying as you and others have been doing this stuff for a long time now and if something was to be done then it would have already. But it is good to keep in mind the facts. Have a nice day :D

DAMN! I dont care about it, but it still sucks. I'm just greatfull we can download it. A few years ago, i was always at least a year behind, when it comes to PR. a new season of PR first comes a year, after the premiere in the states. But then i joined RF, and never in my life have i seen as many PR episodes, and sentai, as i have within the last 8 months. PR Boards Rule!

What exactly is HQ format? I have a Mac and I'm not sure if all file formats are compatible.

Yeah that can be an issue. I personally like mac's but in today's world with Microsoft having a monopoly on computers and everyone , meaning most of majority of people, use 'pc'. I would like to buy a mac but I can build a regular comp. for less price and that is huge for me and others who do not have money but now mac's can run dual operating systems with osX and Windows now and/or linux versions; so if you have one of these newer config. on your mac then make sure you have divx and xvid codecs which are available in mac versions. Download and use vlc media player which is an excellent video player.
Now hq basically means on pr forums an avi file in 512x384 screen resolution with 128kbps frame rate and a total file size of around 175MB or higher with app.128kbps mp3 audio. Screen size can be larger like 640x480 or something around the 4:3 ratio.
Quicktime pro should be able to play the different formats but if not vlc will.

That helps, but as my Mac is 2 1/2 years old, I think I'll stick with .wmv files that I know work.

Perfect, one of my sayings is don't fix something that is not broke. Good luck in the future and being your mac is two years old it might be running os9 and I haven't used that version is a long time and when ten came out there were some big changes in software.

I previously was running 10.2 and just installed 10.4. I haven't had it installed long enough to find out what works and what doesn't yet.
