The eldest of the original Overdrive recruits, the 19-year-old Dax Lo is perhaps the most immature. However, that's not to say that he's the least skilled. Dax is a fully trained, professional stuntman, who loves to display his physical and acrobatic prowess. While Dax is indeed accomplished in his field, he really longs to be the headlining star, rather than an unappreciated stuntman.

On the set of his latest movie, Dax found a holographic recording from Andrew Hartford, inviting him to join him at his mansion. Dax made his way there, were he met the rest of the Overdrive recruits. Unlike the other teenagers, Dax was fully willing to take on the role of a Power Ranger.

Dax's immaturity almost led to the downfall of the Rangers, when he fell in love with a woman he had rescued from a monster. Flaunting his Ranger status, Dax preferred to spend his time with his new friend, who was secretly manipulating him in order to get her hands on an ancient treasure in the keep of Hartford. Dax learned his lesson, and decided to focus more carefully on his Ranger duties.

Dax underwent genetic manipulation, like the rest of the team. As a result, he found he had an insect-like super-jumping ability, able to take massive leaps without any damage to his legs or joints. As the Blue Ranger, Dax pilots the Gyro and Cement Drivers, and wields the Drive Vortex blaster.
