Schuyler "Sky" Tate is 20 years old, and is the Blue B-Squad Ranger. He has the genetic ability to create invisible force fields with his mind. Sky is the son of a man considered to be the "best of the best" of Rangers- the original Red SPD Ranger. As such, he has been grooming himself to follow in his footsteps ever since he was a child. When he was chosen to be an active SPD Ranger, Sky was dissapointed to learn that he was set to be the Blue Ranger- the second in command.

In 2001, Sky's parents were part of a team of pioneering scientists, researching Ranger technology- the same technology that now operates their SPD Morphers. There were unplanned events in the early stages of development, which altered the genes of the scientists. These altered genes were passed on to Sky, in the form of his special abilities.

As the Blue SPD Ranger, Sky becomes the second in command of the B-Squad Rangers. He has an S.P.D. Morpher, the Deltamax Striker sidearm, an S.P.D. Patrol Cycle and Delta Runner 2 for a Zord.
