Kai is an Officer on board Terra Venture. He is a very birght indivudal who lives for his carrer. He always operates by the book, and so it was with reluctance that he requisitioned the Megaship to rescue Kendrix, Leo and Mike from Miranoi.
Kai retrived the Blue Quasar Saber from Miranoi and went on to befriend the Gorilla Galactabeast, which would transform into the Gorilla Galactazord. He also commands the Blue Astro Cycle.
