Tanya was the newest member of the Power Rangers Zeo Team.  She first became involved with the Rangers in her native Africa. It was there that she met former yellow ranger Aisha, searching for her Zeo Shard. Tanya led Aisha across the plains to the safety of her own village. The two girls became great friends who shared a real love of adventure. When Aisha decided to remain in Africa , she entrusted Tanya with the Zeo shard. Tanya then carried the precious crystal all the way through time to Angel Grove.

She also adores upbeat music - something that reflects her energetic personality. When Zordon bestowed the Zeo Powers on the Rangers, Tanya expected to be left out because there are only five sub crystals. She understood and accepted the situation. But Billy had decided that he was more to use to the Power Rangers if he stayed in the Power Chamber and he passed his powers to Tanya.

The Power Teens  took to her immediately and she was invited into the group. A vibrant personality, she is like a bright light that cannot be hidden or ignored. And her sense of excitement about everything around her is very, very infectious. Tanya loves her new home and has embraced everything about it with great enthusiasm. She especially loves sports such as Baseball and Softball.

As the Yellow Zeo Ranger, Tanya commands one half of the Zeo Zords transportation team, Zeo Zord II. When the Rangers gained the Super Zeo Gems, Tanya gained control of Super Zeo Zord II.
