Young Kat had first arrived in Angel Grove from Australia when her father took up a new job in America. Unfortunately, she soon fell under the spell of Rita Repulsa who used her in her evil plot against the Rangers. But Kat's innate goodness shone through and one of her good deeds eventually broke the evil spell.

She got to know the Power Teens well, and impressed Zordon with her bravery, kindness and agility, that he presented her the uniform of the Pink Power Ranger when Kimberly left to concentrate of her career as a gymnast. Kat is a born leader who quickly established herself as someone to be reckoned with.

Mature and sophisticated, she can handle any situation just as well as the boys can. But, for all that, she is very much in touch with her softer, more feminine qualities. She is very concerned with the environment, and the world around her. She believes that the earth will take care of the Human race as long as humanity takes care of the earth. She carries this principle wherever she goes and whatever she does.

As the Pink Zeo Ranger, Kat commands one half of the Zeo Zords transportation team, Zeo Zord I. When the Rangers gained the Super Zeo Gems, Kat gained control of Super Zeo Zord I.
